The years of the pandemic has enhanced the communication we make with our eyes. Facial expressions have become limited with masks covering more than 50% of our face. The Lash and Brow industry has seen an increase in interest as clients have begun to pay a lot more attention to their eye area, and have expressed interest in different services offered to enhance this area.
With that being said… what story do you want your eyes to tell?
Picking the right service to match your wants and lifestyle can be tricky, so we’ve broken down some of our most popular services below.
Did you know that your facial features can change the expression you give without saying a word? Lashes and Brows can open or close the eyes as well as give a harsh or welcoming feel. When determining what service to get for lashes and brows, the services vary based on natural lashes, lifestyle, and maintenance. Whether working with natural lashes or eyelash extensions the length , thickness, and curl of the look starts with lash health. Service results will vary for each individual.
Lash Services
+ Lash extensions are applied individually to each natural lash. Depending on the length and thickness of the natural lash, an extension is chosen determined on the weight and diameter that the natural lash can hold. The enhanced results clients achieve from lash extensions are beautiful and require maintenance every 2-4 weeks as our natural lashes shed and grow each month. Lash Extensions can also be applied as a one time service for an event or vacation, as they will fall out naturally as the natural lashes shed if they’re not maintained. Clients are reminded that while wearing lash extensions there is a minor adjustment to everyday lifestyle, including cleaning habits, sleep habits, avoiding oil based products, etc. Lash extensions can give the illusion of mascara, and give the eyes an instant lift. If properly maintained lash extensions should not alter the health of the natural lashes.
Lash Growth
+ The next service that can enhance natural lashes is a Lash Lift. Lash lifting is the process of curling the natural lashes in an upward direction to create the illusion of a lift and open effect. A lash lift is a longer lasting service and can be done every 6-8 weeks. Since a lash lift service is based on the clients own natural lashes, the results will vary per client. Many clients will use a growth serum to grow their natural lashes longer and fuller prior to receiving this service, optimizing the results of this service. Often times clients will pair this service with a lash tint to give depth and definition to the eyes. Tinting is the process in which color is deposited to deepen the existing color of the natural lashes. Since we are not adding an extension the natural hair, this service will alter the color of the natural lash hair, and give an illusion of a fuller look, but will not thicken the natural hair. When combined with a lash lift, tinting is done directly after this service. We recommend clients wait at least 24hrs after receiving a lash lift or lash extensions before getting them wet, this includes showering as water molecules and steam can have a negative impact on the service received.
Brow Services
Brow treatments are another great way to enhance clients natural features. We offer 3 types of brow services. Brow Shaping is the most common process of removing excess hair and shaping the brows in a way to compliment face shapes, brow/eye shapes, and bone structure. This service is recommended every 3-6 weeks depending on how fast the brow hair grows for that client. Typically we will do a combination of tweezing and waxing (unless clients medical/skincare routine does not allow for waxing). At times clients will not realize how ready they are for a brow shaping until we complete the service. The reason for this is because the brows might appear thin so clients think there is nothing that can be done, but in all actuality the “peach fuzz” or finer hairs surrounding the shape are causing the brows to appear thinner. By removing these hairs the brows will be more defined, and adding brow products such as brow powder or gel will be much easier to apply and control.
The next brow service we provide is brow tinting. Brow tinting is the process of depositing pigment into the natural brow hairs to enhance or deepen the existing color of the brow hairs. This service can result in the brows appearing fuller and more defined. Brow tinting will last approximately 3-4 weeks and natural brow hairs are required for this service to be provided. Often times clients can have lighter hairs naturally or from age, or increased sun exposure which can lighten the hair. Brow tinting may stain the skin underneath the brow hairs for 1-2 days before washing off with daily cleansing.
Brow Lamination is another service that is offered and is the latest trend for brows. Brow Lamination is the process of changing the direction in which the natural brow hairs lay on the skin. This service will allow clients to sculpt the brows each day in an upward direction, providing a sleek and styled look. This service will last 6-8 weeks and tends to work best when clients brow hairs have more length. The extra length for the brow hairs will give the appearance of a “wider”, “fuller” brow. We recommend clients receive a brow shaping at this time.
Whether receiving a lash or brow service many clients will choose to use a growth serum or vitamin supplement in combination with their service. Let’s put it this way, lashes and brows are a hair on our body. The hair on our head requires conditioning, and nutrients to thrive, so why would lashes and brows be any different? Clients will get the most out of their service when using these products in combination. Lash Lift clients will experience a more enhanced look if their natural lashes are healthy, and lash extension clients tend to have better retention if their natural lashes are healthier and have a stronger base to attach to.

This product is safe to use with lash extensions because it doesn’t contain any harsh ingredients, but don’t be fooled, not every growth serum is okay to mix with lash extensions. Lash Serums are super simple to incorporate in any daily routine and require less than 1 minute of your time each morning or night. With a simple swipe along the lash line, on clean skin, clients can expect to see results in as little as 4 weeks!
Cool Down Under Eye Mask-
Bonus: If you are looking for an extra boost for your eye area, we recommend adding a calming under eye mask to your routine. These masks will instantly chill, calm, and refresh tired eyes on contact.
