Lash 911

Hey Ladies,

Today I wanted to chat with you about why its so important to do your research when choosing a lash artist. Sure the price may seem enticing, or the availability and location is super convenient, but at what cost are you willing to risk your lash health?

Similar to brows, the lash follicle is delicate and can become damaged very quickly. Therefore, it’s important that your lash artist is always taking the health of your lashes into consideration. Education, experience, and a ton of practice is what helps a lash artist determine the proper length and thickness that an individual lash can hold.

After 9 years of lashing, I still manage to see lash traits that I have never seen before, which is why every client is a blank canvas to me. There is no cookie cutter formula that can work for every client. My need to educate clients about lash artist research has been stronger than ever lately. As the lash industry has been booming the past few years, the amount of lash technicians has grown significantly as well. Compared to many years ago where it was extremely difficult to find a lash tech, now it seems that clients have many options and it can be confusing where to go.

Here’s A Look On The Inside Of Some Of The Removals I Have Done Within This Past Year.

The pictures shown above may seem scary, and some of you may say “I would never go to someone who does lashes like that”. The truth behind it is, many of the clients i removed these lashes from had no idea that the work being done looked like this on the inside, because when they opened their eyes they had longer curlier lashes.

Many clients don't realize they are getting poor quality lashes until months later when their natural lashes stop growing in certain areas, or the lash artist says “you should take a break”. Isolation and a minimal amount of medical grade adhesive is vital to producing a quality set of lashes.

As a customer its important to stay informed. Ask questions, do your research, look at before and after pictures, and read client reviews. Find out where the technician was trained, and are they a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician? Bad work happens all the time in any industry. We’ve all heard stories about clients whos hair has fallen off in the shampoo bowl, after the colorist wasn't educated on the technique or bleach being used. Or the client who was burned while being waxed by an inexperienced technician.

There are both good and bad sides to every industry. In 2019 we have everything on the internet at our fingertips, making it easier to research a company before getting a service done with them.

HEALTHY LASHES MATTER, SO DO YOUR LASH RESEARCH PRIOR TO GOING TO THE FIRST LASH ARTIST YOU FIND AT A MUCH LOWER RATE. YOUR LASH FOLLICLE WILL THANK YOU!
