**PRO PROSPECTIVE** In years past I dreaded reading a clients chart that said “currently using a lash serum” , right before I was about to apply extensions or do a lash lift/perm…. here is why…
Remember when I said that in the past there was only a few major lash serums on the market? Did you know that certain outdated lash serums that are prescribed can often have a STEROID BASE.
So how does that affect lash services?
When a lash product is steroid based, it causes your lash cycle to speed up significantly. If you didn’t know, the average shed time for natural lashes is approximately every 28-35 days. This means if you’re using a steroid based serum your lash hair would grow and shed much quicker than the average client. In other words clients would need to come in for lash fills, and lash lifts much sooner than anticipated.
